About the Our House Facilities
Facility And Activities
Our House was designed to accommodate the needs of those staying during their hospital visit and includes:
• Large communal kitchen for self-catering
• Dining Area
• Lounge area with TV
• Book and DVD library
• Computer with internet connection and Ipad hire
• BBQ Area
• Outdoor Playground, with secure fencing
• Indoor Play Area, with toys and books provided
• Garden
• Free Guest Laundry
• Free WiFi connection throughout Our House
• Onsite Parking
• Cancer Council NSW office on site
• The responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted
• Secure, patrolled site
• Quiet, peaceful environment
• Visitors welcome between 8 am – 9 pm
Each Thursday Evening the Lord Taverners and community groups host a social dinner.
Please note, to maintain a quiet, peaceful environment we ask that noise be kept to a minimum at Our House, to this end we require all outdoor areas, including balconies to be vacated by 9.30 pm.
As Our House is unable to provide 24hr care, all guests residing at Our House must have the ability to self-care; the ability to undertake the activities of daily living without assistance or have the assistance of a responsible carer.
